Vertical K

INEFFA
“Allow Ineffa to introduce Vertical K. It is a tool that takes vertical videos shown small on a landscape monitor and, with one button, turns them to fill the screen. You no longer need to tilt your head — think of it as Ineffa turning the screen for you.”
Why it was made
From idol fancams to VTuber vertical streams, more and more videos are vertical. PC monitors are landscape, so a vertical video leaves close to 70% of the screen as black space and the video sits small in the middle.
Vertical K started from that frustration. Instead of turning your monitor or tilting your head, it turns the video 90 degrees so it fills the landscape screen.
What it does
When a vertical video appears on YouTube, Vertical K shows up, and one button rotates the video 90 degrees to fit your screen. There is also a mode that scales the video to the screen height, and keyboard shortcuts.
It rearranges the player to strip away clutter so you can focus on the video. There is nothing complicated to set up: install it, watch YouTube as usual, and use it only on vertical videos.
The TikTok extension shows the browse view full screen, hides the comment panel, and keeps full screen when you move to the next video.
Installing and using it
Both extensions are free to install from the Chrome Web Store; use the store links under "Pages to open first" below. Features and permissions are described on each store page.
Ineffa also enjoys putting things neatly in their place. Seeing a vertical video fit the screen exactly is rather satisfying.
